KATE WELLS.

Founder & Head Yoga & Pilates Instructor - (Mon/Tues/Thurs/Sat)

Fitness has always been a great passion of mine, growing up I played a lot of sports, ran cross country and generally just moved all the time. Moving has always made me feel clear and calm, without it I feel lost.

When I was in my twenties I injured my back from too much pounding the pavements and not enough conditioning classes such as Yoga, Pilates and mobility. It was at this point in my life that I ‘found’ Yoga, it helped me with the physical back pain as well as the anxiety I had been feeling. I have been lucky enough to practice in some of the most magical places in the World, Bali, Thailand, India, Australia.

It was after about 4 years of going to classes that I decided I wanted to teach my own practice. I trained back in 2016 and have been teaching daily classes ever since.

My style is fitness focussed, moving from one pose to the next in a fast paced flowing sequence then ending with a restorative relaxation.

LISA CHRISTENSEN.

Yoga Instructor - Slow Flow (Wed) & Yin Yoga (Thurs)

I started practising yoga in 1995. I came to yoga to heal a bad back and sore knees due to too much high impact exercise. For a few years I enjoyed the physical benefits.  I started to notice that yoga also helped me on a mental and emotional level. I felt calmer, more patient and became more organised.  This feeling really got me interested in yoga.  I started to study with Jenny Beeken and the Inner Yoga Trust in 2005 . The very thorough teacher training programme I joined was tough and self reflective. I can honestly say it changed my life; it's important to be open and honest to help heal myself and others. I teach without judging and I believe that everyone can practise yoga . There are no “ perfect postures” yoga should be experienced on a personal level and never compared with others.

VERONICA WINTER.

Veronica began practising yoga in 1995 in London and feels blessed to have had Liz Lark and Nigel Jones as her first Yoga teachers.

In 2003 she began her Yoga Teacher training with The British Wheel of Yoga with David Charlton and Gail Reeves of Living Yoga, and began teaching shortly afterwards.

Veronica has trained with Shiva Rea in Vinyasa Flow, completed Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson and qualified as a Yin Yoga with Norma Blair.

RACHEL ASTON.

Pilates Instructor - Fitness Pilates (Mon)

Rachel found Pilates at The Loft in 2018 and loved it so much she decided to train in it.

“It was the first time I found myself not clock watching in a class. I couldn’t plank and had no idea how anyone could do a roll down to the mat and keep their hands flat; I was hooked”

Rachel is a comprehensively trained mat Pilates instructor with APPI. Having qualified in 2022 she has taught in studios in South Warwickshire and Stratford upon Avon and has provided one to ones, workshops and events for a range of clients.

Rachel has additional CPD in Barre, Pre Natal Pilates, and Menopause and Pilates and is currently training to become a reformer Pilates instructor.

Rachel’s Pilates classes are layered and dynamic, combining classical elements with a modern twist, with often the use of a variety of equipment such as small weights, balls and bands.

Rachel’s barre classes offer a fusion of both barre and Pilates, ensuring clients are appropriately supported to feel that perfect barre burn!
